MILITARY SPECIFICATION
LATHES, ENGINE AND TOOL ROOM 13 THRU 17 INCH
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of
the Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE .
1.1 Scope. This specification covers electric motor driven, metal
turning and threading, engine and toolroom lathes. The lathes shall have
either geared head drive or combination gear and belt drive with equipment
and accessories as described herein.
1.2 Classification. This specification covers lathes of the following
types and sizes. The type and sizes furnished shall be as specified, (see
6.2.1).

Type II - Toolroom lathes
